About this event

Paddock/Site Use - Occupancy Limits
As a benefit of membership and based upon a points rewards system, Ellis River
Riders, Inc. allows members in good-standing and their guests to stay during days and
overnights on show grounds with their horses at designated paddock/sites. All persons,
pets and horse(s) must fit comfortably on your site and not overflow onto another site. A
member must be present for any guests to stay on a paddock/site. All guests must fit on
the member’s paddock/site. If the paddock/site is not large enough to accommodate the
guests, then the guests must become a member and purchase an additional
paddock/site for their use. Guests must sign in on the white board at the end of the barn
and include the names, addresses, phone numbers of anyone who will be attending
their horses in their absence. Attendees must be physically and mentally capable of
handling any equine emergency that may occur.
· Sites are not open to the general public. The intent is to allow members and their
guests to enjoy weekend shows, clinics, trail rides and other events on a daily or
multiple day basis with their horses while resting/ staying in the comfort of their tent,
camper or vehicle parked at their paddock/site. Such sites are not licensed as
campground sites and are for use as-is. No services of any kind such as electricity,
potable water, septic or sewer, garbage, or supervision is provided. All sites must
have a functioning ABC fire extinguisher available prior to spending the night. These will
be supplied by the site holders.
· Per-Night Paddock/Site Use: Do not use anyone’s private paddocks! Bring your own
approved portable fencing and put it only where you are requested by a member of the
grounds management. Bring your own ABC fire extinguisher!
· Paddocks and Fencing: Horses must not be turned loose on the grounds at any time
and remain secure in a stall or fenced in paddocks.
o All paddocks must be fenced with either wide web, 1/2" fencing, or 3/8” diameter
rope, all in either white, orange or neon bright colors - new insulators only. Fencing
must be HOT when horses are inside. Insulators attached to trees must be screw in
type, and backed out at the end of the season. Metal round pen panels may be used for
paddocks. Panels must be secured to each other.
o All fencing and personal items must be removed by the grounds closing date (which
will be posted on the Club website). If not removed, the Grounds Committee will remove
& dispose of without restitution and a $50.00 fine will be imposed. (Note: Wooden posts
that are left year to year will be reviewed and approved by the Grounds Committee).
· Cleanliness: Paddock/Sites must be kept clean! Manure from paddocks must be
disposed of in the designated, fenced manure pit located across from the barn (on the
right as you enter grounds from the trailer entrance). Paddocks must be cleaned after

each use. If paddocks are left dirty after departure, the member who is assigned the site
assumes the risk of a written warning for the 1stoffense and losing camping privileges for
the remainder of the season and the following season for the 2nd offense. All trash must
be taken away when you leave - please do deposit trash in the large barrels on the
show grounds.
- ARENA LIGHT USAGE: Site holders may request to have arena lights turned on for
nighttime use of the arena. A BOD member must be available to turn the lights on and
they will be turned off at 9pm. This benefit is dependent on the availability of a BOD
member and should be requested in advance.
Firewood and Brush Clearing
Members should bring their own firewood. Cutting of any trees or brush on the grounds
is prohibited without the expressed consent of the Grounds Committee.

posted on the Secretary's booth during regular club events, otherwise you must check
