OPEN SHOW TACK AND APPOINTMENTS FOR THE MORNING CLASSES
English: Any style English saddle may be used, including All Purpose, Forward, Jump, Australian, or Dressage. All English riders must wear an ASTI approved helmet, properly fastened, while they are showing their horse (see Helmet Policy). An English jacket is required, but may be excused at the judges discretion. Appointments may include non-roweled spurs, gloves, crop, or ½ chaps. A boot with a heel is required. Tie-downs, draw reins, and martingales are not allowed. Non-mechanical hackamores and sidepulls are allowed.

Western: Western style stock saddle, with or without horn. An Australian style saddle is allowed. Western classes allow for sparkle and shine, but please consider that at the Ellis River Riders training level shows, a clean look fits the bill, and points will not be deducted for simple attire. Appointments may include chaps, spurs, neckerchief, and gloves. Riders will not be discounted for wearing approved Safety Helmets. Bits may be snaffle, curb, bitless or bosal. A snaffle, bitless, or bosal headstall must be two-handed, and snaffles must have a chin strap (snaffle hobble- prevents pull- throughs). A curb must be single handed and have a curb strap. A boot with a heel is required. Tie-downs, draw reins, training forks, and tendon wraps are not allowed. No mechanical hackamores or halters.

GYMKHANA TACK AND APPOINTMENTS FOR THE AFTERNOON CLASSES
Riders may choose to ride in whichever type of saddle they feel comfortable in.
The saddle must have stirrups. Leg wraps and boots are allowed. Tie downs are acceptable. No draw reins. Bridles may be curb, snaffle, bitless, sidepull or halter. For riders, boots with a heel are required. No tank-tops, with the exception of a button-up sleeveless shirt, is permitted. Helmets are recommended for everyone, but are mandatory for anyone under the age of 18.
Registration cancellations will be accepted
Cancellation Policy:
The pre-paid registration fee is non-refundable unless the member is able to show a letter from their vet, or the rider’s doctor, stating a medical reason that they are unable to participate.
